Sour cream cake

An easy-to-make, everyday evening tea cake.
The cakes in this cake are not biscuit, they should not rise much.
After the cake is soaked, it becomes soft, tender.
From the specified amount of ingredients, 6-8 servings are obtained.

  • 180 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 500 g sour cream
  • 300-400 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder


  • 500 g sour cream
  • 150 g sugar
  • 50 g poppy seeds


Grind butter with sugar.

Add sour cream.

Add flour, baking powder.
Knead not very tough dough.

Divide the dough into 4-5 parts, put each part in a greased mold (I have a mold with a diameter of 26 cm).
Put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Cooking cream.
Stir sour cream with sugar.

Add poppy.


Grease the baked cake with cream.

Cover with the next cake.

Grease with cream, cover with a cake, etc..
Refrigerate for 6-7 hours.
