Easter wreath

Such a wreath will become a decoration of the Easter table. Plus, it’s delicious..
You can experiment with fillings, add different nuts, fruits, candied fruits.
From the specified amount of ingredients, 10-12 servings are obtained.

  • 250 ml milk
  • 7 g dry yeast (or 30 g raw)
  • 500-700 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 100 g nuts (to taste)
  • 100 g candied fruits
  • 100 g raisins


Heat the milk a little (so that it is slightly warm).

Dissolve yeast in it.

Add 250 g flour.
Mix well.
Cover, put in a warm place.
The dough should double in size (it took me 30 minutes).

Separate the whites from the yolks.
Grind the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar.

Beat the whites with a pinch of salt until foam.

Add yolks to the matched dough.

Then add softened (not ghee) butter.

Add proteins.

Add remaining flour.
Knead the dough.
The dough must be kneaded well, it should not be steep and should not stick to your hands.
Put the dough in a warm place.

Let the dough rise well (about an hour).

When the dough rises, you need to crush it.

Let the dough rise again.

Chop the nuts in a blender or chop with a knife.

Divide the matched dough into 3 parts.
Roll each part into a strip 10 × 50 cm.

Put nuts on a strip.

Roll up roll.

Pinch the edges well.

Make the same roll with raisins (wash and dry the raisins beforehand).

And with candied fruits.

Weave a pigtail from the rolls obtained.

Form a wreath from the braids.
Grease a baking sheet or cover with baking paper.
Lay out the wreath.

Put a refractory mold in the middle (this is done in order to get a depression in which you can then put eggs).

Put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.
